The Democratic National Convention returns for a second day Tuesday with a tribute to Vice President Kamala Harris from her husband, first gentleman Doug Emhoff, and speeches from former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama.

Day 1 of the DNC gave President Joe Biden a moment to shine and celebrate his accomplishments before passing the torch to his vice president.
Other speakers on Tuesday include Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly.
PBS News will have gavel-to-gavel special coverage each day of the convention, with a continuous stream from the main floor.
The News Hour broadcast begins at 6 p.m. EDT from the anchor desk in Chicago. Starting at 8, Amna Nawaz and Geoff Bennett host on-air special analysis with a group of panelists and special guests, while correspondent Laura Barrón-López reports from the convention floor, talking to delegates and elected officials.
