18" ANTIQUE BLACK FOREST FRAME BIRDS BERRIES VINES SIGNED CHINESE EMBROIDERY

Description

Offered for auction is this very early antique Black Forest frame featuring carved vines, berries, birds and leaves.
Quite large at 18" x 16" wide.
There is a silk Chinese embroidery signed with a chop mark in the top left corner. I'm not sure why there is a brown stain around the embroidery.
There are some small pieces missing and quite a few repairs/breaks as you can see on the back. The piece was also professionally reinforced. Please study the photos carefully as they are part of the description.
Looks to be the original finish.
