Marie Antoinette was the last Queen of France before the French Revolution. She was born an Archduchess of Austria.

he artist drew a hairstyle that was modern at that time in the second half of the 18th century. She has beautiful blue eyes. It is a beautifully dressed red and yellow embroidered dress. The portrait is embedded in a wooden frame and embossed with horn decorative tiles. The miniature is the original glass which is concave.  The artist has signed the portrait and her own name on the back.
Miniature dimensions in the frame
is 5 ¾ inches tall and 4 ¾ inches wide.  The oval portrait is approx. 3 ½ inches tall.
