Antique Victorian Lady Mini-Portrait in a Celluloid Tortoise-Shell Frame

This sale is for an "as found" turn-of-the century
Victorian lady mini-portrait
in a beautiful
celluloid tortoise shell frame
. The piece
measures 5 inches long, 4 and 1/4 inches wide, 1/2 inch thick. There is a hanging hook on the back. The piece is unmarked. We believe it is German in origin. There are three blemishes we notice on the frame. Two appear to have been touched up with paint...a good job of concealing the flaws...one on the upper left corner and the other along the bottom edge of the frame

The third flaw is an un-touched up corner
(see listing photo number 10)
. When hung, these issues are not noticeable.
