    Description

    This is an outstanding large c1840 birdseye maple
    veneered frame.
    S
    trong birdseye stippling on ogee molding with excellent honey color and light lemon liner. The frame is in excellent condition and has square nailed, mitered corners, shingle backboard and rippled glass. Nearly square measuring 22 1/4 x 23 with a 19 x 19 3/4 rabbet. Likely was a textile/sampler frame. Outstanding period birdseye.
