Description

This is an excellent
c1860 large Victorian rosewood frame. Beautifully grained rosewood veneer on a reverse canted molding with a stepped lemon gilded liner. Measures 20 3/4 x 24 5/8 with an 18 1/2 x 22 1/4 rabbet and has possibly been resized. The lemon liner is slightly loose as i believe it is only held in with some splines (or possibly glued). Square nailed, mitered corners with black painted sides. The frame is in excellent condition with only minor wear. Beautiful period frame that's great for a sampler.
