David Bowie 'Heroes' Self-Portrait Lithograph - Ryko embossed - hand-numbered #78/500.
To celebrate the conclusion of the North American portion of David Bowie’s 1990 SOUND & VISION tour, and in anticipation of Rykodisc’s upcoming 1991 reissue program of David’s HEROES/LOW/LODGER “Berlin” trilogy, Rykodisc, in conjunction with Isolar (Bowie’s mgmt. team), agreed to create 500 lithographs on Rykodisc embossed stationery of Bowie’s “Heroes” self-portrait, drawn originally in 1978. These lithos were hand numbered in pencil at the lower left-hand portion of the image as #/500, and were sent out as a thank you to influential music press, retail & radio people that had all helped & supported Rykodisc’s reissue campaign to that point.
The print is 8 x 10 inches and is hand-numbered in the lower left hand corner, where it is also embossed with a Ryko logo. Printed on a textured stock. Condition is mint/like new. No stains, creases or tears. Ready for framing!
