Description

Victorian gesso walnut and gilt oval frame with faded floral print circa 1880. Shipped with USPS Parcel Select Ground.
There are two things written on the print. Peint par (Painted By) F.J Redoulé. And Lith par Pointel du Portail (Lith by Portal Pointel). There are also cracks in the wood and gilt which is normal with the age and the drying of the wood. There is also ripping in the paper on the back which is also consistent with age.(See Photos) It is 14.5” tall by 12 5/8” wide. The opening on the back is rectangular and is 10” tall by 8” wide and the opening in the front is about 9.25” tall by 7.5” wide.
