    Description

    From my collection of vintage photo frames is this unique early plastic piece.  It was sold to me as celluloid, 20 years ago.  The oval frame is a beautiful orange color, decorated with vines of pale silver grape clusters and a tiny bow.  The glass is curved, and the backing and easel are velvet.  Marked on the back - DUPONT CATHAY USA.  The frame measures approximately 7" tall x 4 5/8" at the widest; the plastic is 3/16" thick.  It will hold a 4 x 6 photograph.  Condition:  The frame, grape decoration and glass are in great condition; the velvet has some tears; the ribbon and nails don't look original.  A very striking tabletop frame - shape, color and decoration.  A wonderful addition to a frame collection or for displaying a vintage or personal photo!  Feel free to ask questions.
