An original Bardsley and Sons Dashing Aussie Slouch Hat
Back story to these hats:  Australian troops in WW2 took to the field in fur felt campaign hats which became known as "slouch hats."
The "Diggers" usually formed these to suit the individual taste of the wearer.
This John Bardsley & Sons fur felt slouch hat is in excellent condition, aside from a small dot stain in the curl of the brim.
The hat has no chinstrap, and has the unusual feature of a snap up brim rather than "hook and eye."
No moth damage and the hat is a size 71/8.
