VINTAGE OCCUPIED JAPAN, NIKKO SILVER PLATE, PICTURE FRAME, Rare. This is a really nice old frame. Theme is the famous temple at Nikko, Japan. It is marked on the front NIKKO (lower left corner), and on the back, Made in Occupied Japan (lower left corner). Measures about 8 1/2" inches high by 7" inches wide and holds a picture that is approx. 5" inches wide by 6 1/2" inches tall, (the oval aperture is slightly smaller than that). This is a nice heavy frame (weighs a total of 1 pound 11 ounces)! Condition: Metal portion of frame in very good condition. A brand new glass pane has been added. Restored with modern back support easel stand adapted and added. Image in the frame is a modern reproduction. Scarce find and a very nice collectible.
